We have a team approach, and offer state of the art systems, and multi media advertising including two billboards alongside social media marketing. We are conveniently located in Vail, Arizona with easy freeway access to Interstate 10.

Hairdresser Job Duties and Responsibilities

To adequately perform their jobs, hairdressers must:

• Possess knowledge of principles and processing for providing personal services
• Have the ability to assess the needs of their clients
• Meet quality standards for service
• Possess knowledge of the chemical composition and properties of the substances they use and the chemical processes the substances may undergo (i.e., understanding chemical reactions, production techniques, and disposal methods)

Successful hairdressers must also:

• Be able to work under pressure
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Be patient
• Be able to work long hours on their feet
• Pay attention to small details
• Listen closely to their clients’ wants and needs
• Be able to follow instructions
• Keep up with the latest beauty trends
• Earn the trust of their clients
• Closely follow safety, sanitation, and health standards

Specialty hairdressers may include:

• Hair braiders , who specialize in creating small braids over the entire head
• Natural hairstylists , who work on ethnic hair without processing and relaxing chemicals

My name is Susan and I’ve been a stylist over 28 years. Over the course of my experience I’ve worked at a large corporate chain in a Mall, a small private salon who had elite clients of Tucson, a station rental salon with in a salon, and then owned my own salon for 9 years.

After selling my successful salon business, I thought I would scale back and venture into a new career path, moved to Vail Az, and found a salon near me named Bavilon Salon. I went in to the salon and had my haircut “incognito style”, and after receiving the best haircut of my life from Andrea, I realized that this salon was a treasure of a salon! The atmosphere was tasteful and the stylists were happy, and they had a terrific clientele business in this great community of Vail. Sooo the next day I came back and applied for a position as a stylist there. It’s been a little over a year now and I’ve been able to offer my clients a new beautiful place to come in and see me as the salon is only one mile off interstate I-10. I’ve also met new clients and have built a nice following in a very short time! I have to say that all avenues available to work as a stylist, whether it is working through station rental, on commission, or owning my own salon, I feel that working for Bavilon has been the most rewarding, as well as the most lucrative.
